Anti-TAT Antibody

The polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit against human tyrosine aminotransferase (TAT), a pyridoxal-phosphate-dependent enzyme enriched in liver parenchyma that catalyses the transamination of L-tyrosine to 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate, the first committed step of tyrosine catabolism.

Validated for Western blot and immunofluorescence on human samples, the unconjugated reagent supports studies of hepatic amino-acid handling, tyrosinemia type II (Richner-Hanhart syndrome) arising from TAT loss-of-function, and characterisation of hepatocyte-like cells in differentiation models. The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal antiserum for research use only and should be stored at -20 °C, with working aliquots reserved to limit freeze-thaw exposure of the immunoglobulin fraction.
