Anti-TARBP2 Antibody

This unconjugated polyclonal antibody is raised in rabbit against TARBP2 by Antibodies.com and is validated for Western blot applications. The reagent reacts with human and mouse samples.

It is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum using an epitope-specific immunogen, yielding a purity of >95% as determined by SDS-PAGE. The target protein has a molecular weight of approximately 39 kDa. The antibody detects endogenous levels of TARBP2 and was generated using recombinant full-length human TARBP2 as the immunogen.

TARBP2 encodes a protein that binds between the bulge and the loop of the HIV-1 TAR RNA regulatory element and activates HIV-1 gene expression in synergy with the viral Tat protein. Alternative splicing of the gene produces multiple transcript variants that encode different isoforms.
