Raised in rabbit against the Tara protein, this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied as an unconjugated antibody intended for research use only. Tara, also known by its gene name STARD9, is a mitotic kinesin-family motor protein that localizes to the spindle apparatus during cell division and contributes to proper chromosome alignment and cytokinesis.

The reagent has been validated for Western blot and immunofluorescence applications on human samples, making it a useful probe for cell biology laboratories investigating mitotic progression, microtubule-dependent transport, and the actin cytoskeleton during interphase. Because it is polyclonal, the reagent recognizes multiple epitopes on Tara, which can be helpful when detecting lower-abundance targets in whole-cell lysates or when probing proteins for which only limited epitope data are available.

Each vial contains 100 µl of antibody, sufficient for numerous blotting or staining experiments depending on dilution. The host species is rabbit, the clonality is polyclonal, the conjugate is unconjugated, and the target species reactivity is human. For best results, store at -20 °C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles and protect from light, allowing stable performance across extended experimental timelines.
