Anti-TALDO1 Antibody

Raised in rabbit, this unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com binds human transaldolase 1 (TALDO1), the rate-limiting enzyme of the non-oxidative branch of the pentose phosphate pathway. TALDO1 catalyses the reversible transfer of a dihydroxyacetone unit between sedoheptulose-7-phosphate and glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate, linking glycolysis with ribose biosynthesis and influencing cellular NADPH balance, redox homeostasis, and nucleotide precursor supply. The antibody is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples and is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum suitable for downstream labelling with HRP, biotin, or fluorophore conjugates as required by individual workflows.

TALDO1 expression has been investigated in studies of transaldolase deficiency, hepatocellular injury, and several solid tumours, where altered flux through the pentose phosphate pathway is implicated in oxidative stress responses and biosynthetic reprogramming.
