This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets Transgelin-2 (TAGLN2), a 22 kDa actin-binding protein of the calponin family that bundles filamentous actin and helps remodel the cytoskeleton during cell migration, spreading, and immune synapse formation. Raised in rabbit, the reagent is provided as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum applied in Western blot and immunofluorescence workflows using human, mouse, and rat samples. TAGLN2 is broadly expressed in epithelial tissues and lymphocytes, and altered expression has been reported in several solid tumors and in activated T cells, where the protein contributes to cytoskeletal reorganization and immune cell function. The antibody recognizes the native target in immunofluorescence staining of cultured cells and detects the expected ~22 kDa band in Western blot analysis of lysates from reactive species. Recommended storage at 4 °C short term with aliquoting preserves reagent activity across repeated experiments.
