TAF9 is a subunit of the general transcription factor complexes TFIID and TFIIF, where it contributes to RNA polymerase II-mediated transcription initiation. Loss-of-function mutations affecting this factor have been linked to neurodevelopmental disorders and altered transcriptional programs in patient-derived cells. This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum. The antibody recognizes the human, mouse, and rat TAF9 protein and is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry applications on cultured cells and fixed tissue sections. Researchers commonly apply it to studies of transcription regulation, RNA polymerase II function, and chromatin-associated complex assembly. For long-term use, aliquot the reagent and store at -20°C, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity.
