Anti-Taf4 Antibody

The Antibodies.com Anti-Taf4 polyclonal antiserum was raised in rabbit against the Saccharomyces cerevisiae TFIID subunit encoded by the TAF4 gene. Taf4 partners with Taf12 to form a histone-fold heterodimer that anchors the TFIID transcription complex onto core promoter DNA, making it a useful marker for studies of RNA polymerase II-mediated transcription initiation in yeast. The unconjugated IgG is supplied as 100 µl of liquid in a single vial and is validated for western blot detection of endogenous Taf4 from yeast whole-cell extracts. For best results, briefly centrifuge before use, store aliquots frozen at -20 °C in working volumes to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and avoid prolonged exposure to room temperature.
