Description

Rabbit polyclonal antibody to TADA3, supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated IgG reagent validated for use with human, mouse, and rat samples. The antibody is affinity-purified and formulated in phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.3, with 50% glycerol and 0.01% thiomersal. It is shipped at 4°C and, upon delivery, should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided.

The target, also referred to as TADA3L and CDC23, is a component of the anaphase-promoting complex (APC). The immunogen is a recombinant fusion protein containing amino acids 270–369 of human TADA3 (NP_597814.1). The encoded protein shares strong similarity with Saccharomyces cerevisiae Cdc23 and is essential for cell cycle progression through the G2/M transition. APC catalyses formation of cyclin B–ubiquitin conjugates responsible for the ubiquitin-mediated proteolysis of B-type cyclins, and this subunit together with three other APC members contains TPR (tetratricopeptide repeat) domains important for protein–protein interaction.

Recommended applications and dilutions include Western blot at 1:500–1:2,000, immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence at 1:50–1:200, immunohistochemistry on paraffin sections at 1:100–1:200, and ELISA with a recommended starting concentration of 1 μg/mL. Observed and calculated molecular weight is 69 kDa.
