Anti-SYT4 Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com as a primary antibody, this reagent is a rabbit polyclonal raised against synaptotagmin (SYT4). It is supplied unconjugated and of the IgG isotype, and it has been validated for use on human, mouse, and rat samples.

The antibody is validated for Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF), with recommended starting dilutions of WB 1:500–1:2,000, IHC 1:50–1:200, and ICC/IF 1:50–1:200. Four scientific validation images are provided. In the supporting Western blot example, the antibody was used at 1:1,000 with a Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG H&L (HRP) secondary at 1:10,000, 25 µg of lysate per lane, 3% non-fat dry milk in TBST as the blocking buffer, and ECL Basic Kit detection with a 90-second exposure. The immunohistochemistry example shows use at 1:100 (40× lens) on paraffin-embedded human stomach and human liver cancer, with microwave antigen retrieval in 10 mM PBS buffer pH 7.2. The immunofluorescence example shows use at 1:100 on U2OS cells with DAPI nuclear counterstain.

The immunogen is a recombinant fusion protein corresponding to amino acids 38–190 of human SYT4 (NP_065834.1), and the antibody is affinity purified. It is supplied as a liquid in phosphate-buffered saline, pH 7.3, with 50% glycerol and 0.02% sodium azide, with a molecular weight of 48 kDa. It is shipped at 4 °C and, upon delivery, should be aliquoted and stored at -20 °C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided.
