Anti-SYT1 Antibody

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody, supplied by Antibodies.com, targets Synaptotagmin (SYT1) and reacts with Human, Mouse and Rat samples. It is affinity purified from a liquid formulation and validated by the manufacturer for Western blot and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence.

The immunogen is a recombinant fusion protein corresponding to amino acids 84–157 of human SYT1 (NP_005630.1). The antibody recognises the target at the predicted molecular weight of 60 kDa and is supplied in Phosphate Buffered Saline, pH 7.3, with 50% Glycerol and 0.01% Thiomersal. It is shipped at 4°C and should be aliquoted and stored at −20°C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided.

Recommended dilutions are WB: 1:500–1:1,000 and ICC/IF: 1:50–1:200. In a representative Western blot, the antibody was applied at 1:1,000 dilution to 25 µg of lysate per lane, with a Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG H&L (HRP) secondary at 1:10,000 in 3% non-fat dry milk in TBST and ECL exposure of 10 seconds. Immunofluorescence on rat and mouse eye tissue has been performed at 1:100 dilution with a 40× lens, using DAPI to counterstain cell nuclei.
