Anti-Synuclein-α (phospho-Y133) Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against Synuclein-α phosphorylated at tyrosine 133. The unconjugated reagent is provided at 1 mg/ml in Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, approx. pH 7.2, and is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) applications. It reacts with Human, Mouse and Rat samples.

The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 120-160 of Human Synuclein-α. The antibody detects endogenous levels of Synuclein-α protein only when phosphorylated at Tyr133, with a reported molecular weight of ~ 18 kDa. It was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen, achieving a purity of > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
