Anti-Synuclein-α Antibody

This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is a rabbit-derived unconjugated antibody raised against alpha-synuclein, a 140-amino-acid presynaptic protein whose aggregation into insoluble fibrils is the pathological hallmark of Parkinson's disease and dementia with Lewy bodies. Confirmed reactivity spans human, mouse, and rat orthologues, and the reagent is documented for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows. Typical applications include resolving the ~14 kDa monomer in brain lysates, localizing immunoreactivity in substantia nigra neurons by IHC, and visualizing filamentous cytoplasmic inclusions by immunofluorescence in cell culture and fixed tissue sections.

Each vial contains 100 µl of a 1 mg/ml protein preparation buffered in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as cryoprotectant.
