The Antibodies.com Anti-Syntrophin alpha 1 polyclonal antibody is an unconjugated rabbit host reagent supplied as 100 µL of liquid antiserum, intended for western blot and immunofluorescence on human samples. Alpha-1-syntrophin is a scaffolding component of the dystrophin-associated protein complex, anchoring nNOS, calmodulin, and voltage-gated sodium channels to the inner face of the plasma membrane in skeletal muscle, cardiomyocytes, and neurons. Variants in the SNTA1 gene have been characterized in congenital long QT syndrome type 12, and the protein features prominently in studies of Duchenne muscular dystrophy, cardiac electrophysiology, and neuromuscular junction organization.

As a polyclonal reagent in unconjugated format, the antiserum offers broad epitope coverage suited to isoform expression profiling and the detection of SNTA1 truncation variants in dystrophinopathy models. End users retain full control over fluorophore or enzyme conjugation, allowing custom multiplex panels or signal amplification protocols tailored to specific imaging or blotting workflows. The reagent pairs naturally with membrane-enriched lysates for western blot, where endogenous SNTA1 migrates near 58 kDa, and with cryosections or fixed-cell preparations for immunofluorescence, where the antibody reveals sarcolemmal and postsynaptic membrane localization in tissue and cultured cells.

Storage and handling guidance: the antiserum is supplied in liquid format. Refrigerate on arrival and prepare aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, which degrade IgG activity over time. With proper storage, the 100 µL vial supports multiple western blot membranes and immunofluorescence runs across pilot and confirmatory experiments in dystrophinopathy, arrhythmia, and synaptogenesis research programs.
