Anti-Synaptotagmin 1 (Ab-309) Antibody

Raised in rabbit and purified by epitope-specific affinity chromatography, this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is directed against Synaptotagmin 1 and targets the region surrounding residues 307–311 (G-L-S-D-P) of the human protein, allowing detection of endogenous total Synaptotagmin 1 (also known as SYT1, SYT, SytI, p65, SVP65 or Synaptotagmin I). The antibody is supplied unconjugated at 1.0 mg/mL in 50 µl of phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), pH 7.4, containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. It is validated for Western blotting at a recommended dilution of 1:500–1:1000 and for immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence at 1:100–1:200, with a predicted molecular weight of approximately 60–65 kDa. Reactivity has been confirmed in human, mouse and rat samples, making it suitable for cross-species neuroscience research on synaptic vesicle proteins. The product is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C upon receipt, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity.
