Synapsin I is a neuronal phosphoprotein that coats small synaptic vesicles and regulates neurotransmitter release at presynaptic terminals. This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com detects endogenous Synapsin I across human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting studies of synaptogenesis, axonal transport, and synaptic plasticity in neuroscience and neuropathology laboratories.

The unconjugated antibody is supplied as 100 µl of liquid stock, suitable for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and ELISA workflows. Researchers commonly apply it to map synaptic density in brain tissue sections, characterize neuronal differentiation in stem cell–derived cultures, and assess synaptic vesicle dynamics in disease models including epilepsy, autism spectrum disorders, and neurodegeneration.

Polyclonal reactivity broadens epitope coverage, which helps when probing post-translationally modified forms of Synapsin I such as the site-1 and site-3 phospho-states regulated by CaMKII and MAPK signaling. Aliquot upon receipt and store at -20°C in single-use portions to minimize freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding activity for long-term use.
