Anti-Swi6 Antibody

Antibodies.com's Anti-Swi6 polyclonal antibody is raised in rabbit and validated for Western blot (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP). Swi6 is a key cell-cycle transcription cofactor in Schizosaccharomyces pombe that functions within the MluI cell-cycle box-binding factor (MBF) complex to drive the G1/S transcriptional program, and it also acts as a chromodomain-containing component of heterochromatin at the mating-type locus and centromeres. The unconjugated IgG reagent is supplied as a 50 µl liquid aliquot and supports chromatin studies, IP of MBF/DSC1 complex components, and whole-cell lysate blotting to monitor Swi6 phosphorylation and abundance. Store refrigerated at 4°C in working aliquots; for longer-term storage, freeze at -20°C and limit freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity. For research use only.
