The Anti-SUMO1 Antibody [4D12] from Antibodies.com is a rat monoclonal antibody (IgG2a isotype) that recognizes Small Ubiquitin-like Modifier 1 (SUMO1), an approximately 11.5 kDa ubiquitin-like protein involved in post-translational modification, nuclear-cytoplasmic transport, transcription regulation, and the cellular stress response. Clone 4D12 detects both free SUMO1 and SUMO1-conjugated substrates, making it useful for probing sumoylation status in cell lysates and tissue sections. The reagent is supplied as a 100 µg liquid vial, validated for Western blot, immunofluorescence, frozen-tissue immunohistochemistry, and ELISA, and demonstrates cross-reactivity with human, monkey, mouse, and rat samples. For short-term storage keep refrigerated; for long-term use, aliquot and freeze to limit freeze-thaw damage and protect from light.
