SULT4A1 is a cytosolic sulfotransferase that is most abundantly expressed in neural tissue, including the cerebellum and cortex, and has been studied in the context of neuronal development and certain psychiatric phenotypes. Despite being one of the most conserved members of the sulfotransferase family, its endogenous substrate profile remains poorly defined, which is why antibody-based detection tools are commonly used to characterize its tissue distribution. The unconjugated, rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied at 200 µl and is validated for western blot detection of the human SULT4A1 protein, allowing researchers to probe expression levels in cell and tissue lysates prepared from brain-derived samples. The polyclonal format recognizes multiple epitopes across the target, an advantage when evaluating native protein or when isoform-specific information is limited. This reagent is intended for research use only and supports work in neuroscience, neuropharmacology, and studies of cytosolic sulfonation pathways in human tissue.
