Anti-SULT2A1 Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets sulfotransferase family 2A member 1 (SULT2A1), a cytosolic phase II enzyme that sulfonates hydroxysteroids such as dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), pregnenolone, androsterone, and several bile acids. SULT2A1 is predominantly expressed in the liver and adrenal cortex and contributes to steroid hormone metabolism, bile acid turnover, and xenobiotic processing.

Each vial contains 100 µl of polyclonal antiserum supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS buffer with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. The unconjugated reagent is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows on human and mouse samples, supporting studies of hepatic sulfonation capacity, adrenal steroid biosynthesis, and hepatic drug metabolism pathways.

For routine use, aliquot the antibody upon arrival and store frozen between experiments to limit freeze-thaw cycles; the 50% glycerol and 0.1% sodium azide preserve antibody activity through repeated bench handling.
