Sulfotransferase family 2A member 1 (SULT2A1) is a cytosolic phase II conjugation enzyme that transfers sulfonate groups to hydroxysteroids, bile acids, and a broad spectrum of xenobiotic substrates. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised against SULT2A1 and is validated for Western blot work on human, mouse, and rat samples.

Each vial contains 100 µl of antibody at 1 mg/ml, formulated in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. Polyclonal recognition of multiple epitopes on the SULT2A1 target supports reliable signal in hepatic, adrenal, and gastrointestinal tissue lysates where the sulfotransferase is most abundantly expressed.

Typical applications include Western blot analysis of DHEA sulfation capacity, hepatic steroid clearance studies, and characterization of xenobiotic metabolism pathways. The unconjugated format lets researchers pair the primary with HRP, biotin, or fluorescent secondary reagents of their own choice. For best results, store refrigerated and aliquot to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, preserving long-term binding activity.
