Raised in rabbit and affinity-purified, this unconjugated polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets SUFU (Suppressor of Fused), a negative regulator of the Hedgehog signaling pathway that sequesters GLI transcription factors in the cytoplasm and has been characterized as a tumor suppressor in cancers driven by Hedgehog pathway dysregulation, including medulloblastoma and basal cell carcinoma. The reagent is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS buffer with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, in a 100 µl volume for multiple experimental runs.

Validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence, the antibody recognizes endogenous SUFU in human, mouse, and rat samples, enabling comparative studies in developmental biology, oncology, and stem cell research. The polyclonal format provides epitope diversity for detection of SUFU under denaturing (WB), fixed-tissue (IHC), and imaging (IF) conditions. Sodium azide acts as a microbial preservative in the working solution, while the high glycerol content protects against freeze-thaw damage when aliquots are stored frozen. Researchers commonly apply this reagent as a primary antibody followed by species-matched HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondaries for chemiluminescent or fluorescence signal detection.
