STXBP1 encodes Syntaxin-Binding Protein 1 (Munc18-1), a key regulator of synaptic vesicle docking and neurotransmitter release at presynaptic terminals. This rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against the human STXBP1 protein and is supplied as 100 µL of unconjugated antiserum from Antibodies.com, intended for research use only in Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples.

STXBP1 is most highly expressed in neurons, where it binds syntaxin-1A to control SNARE complex assembly, and heterozygous loss-of-function mutations are a well-documented cause of early infantile epileptic encephalopathy type 4 (Ohtahara syndrome). Researchers studying neurodevelopmental disorders, presynaptic release mechanisms, and disease modeling routinely employ antibodies targeting this protein to map expression patterns, follow changes after knockdown or knockout, and validate findings in patient-derived iPSC-derived neurons.

For best results, store small aliquots at -20 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. The reagent is validated across multiple species reactivity (Human, Mouse, Rat), giving flexibility for translational rodent studies and human tissue analysis. Each vial is shipped as 100 µL of liquid antiserum ready for standard immunodetection protocols.
