Anti-STX4 Antibody

Generated in rabbit against the syntaxin-4 plasma membrane t-SNARE, this unconjugated polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied as 100 µL of antiserum in a vial and is validated for western blot detection of endogenous STX4 in lysates of human, mouse, rat, and monkey origin. Syntaxin-4 mediates docking of transport vesicles and is required for insulin-stimulated translocation of GLUT4/SLC2A4 storage vesicles to the cell surface in adipocytes and skeletal muscle, supporting studies of glucose uptake, membrane trafficking, and SNARE-mediated exocytosis in pancreatic beta cells and platelets. The antibody detects a band at approximately 34 kDa under reducing SDS-PAGE conditions. Aliquot upon arrival and store at -20 °C to preserve activity across repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
