STMN2 (Stathmin 2), also known as SCG10, is a neuronal-enriched stathmin-family protein that regulates microtubule dynamics and neurite outgrowth in the developing and adult nervous system. The Anti-STMN2 Antibody offered by Antibodies.com is a rabbit polyclonal reagent supplied as 100 µl of a 1 mg/ml stock in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, ready for immediate dilution into standard western blot workflows.

Validated for human, mouse, and rat samples, this unconjugated primary antibody detects the native STMN2 polypeptide in cell and tissue lysates. Neuroscience laboratories use STMN2 expression as a marker of motor neuron integrity, and altered STMN2 levels have been linked to TDP-43 proteinopathy in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and frontotemporal dementia models, making the reagent useful for studies of neurodegeneration, axonal regeneration, and microtubule-associated signaling.

For western blot, refrigerate the vial on receipt to preserve activity; the 50% glycerol formulation also supports longer term frozen storage. Sodium azide at 0.1% is included as a microbial preservative. The polyclonal format provides recognition of multiple epitopes across the STMN2 sequence, supporting consistent signal in both denaturing and mild detergent extraction conditions.
