The rabbit polyclonal anti-STK39 reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied as 100 µL of unconjugated IgG, validated for Western blot detection of the STK39 kinase (also known as SPAK/STE20/SPS1-related proline-alanine-rich kinase) in human, mouse, and rat samples. STK39 phosphorylates cation-chloride cotransporters NKCC1, NKCC2, and KCC isoforms, linking it to the WNK-SPAK/OSR1 signaling axis that drives renal salt handling, vascular smooth muscle contractility, and blood pressure homeostasis. The protein migrates at approximately 70 kDa on SDS-PAGE, making it readily resolvable on standard WB gels. The recommended working dilution range is 1:500 to 1:2000, with typical loading of 25 µg of total lysate per lane and chemiluminescent detection on PVDF or nitrocellulose membranes blocked in non-fat dry milk/TBST. The polyclonal format presents multiple epitopes on STK39, supporting detection of moderate-abundance target in rodent tissues and human cell-line lysates. Unconjugated output gives laboratories freedom to pair the primary with HRP, fluorescent, or biotinylated secondaries of their choosing. Documented published applications include tracking total STK39 alongside phospho-specific readouts at residues such as Thr233 and Ser373 in studies of ion transport regulation, choroid plexus function, and neuroinflammation models. The reagent is shipped liquid and should be aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles; store at -20 °C. For research use only; not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
