STK32A is a serine/threonine kinase of the AGC family, also referred to as YANK1, that has recently been reclassified from a "dark kinase" to a functional regulator of planar cell polarity in the vestibular hair cells of the inner ear. Jia et al. (2023) demonstrated that Stk32a acts in opposition to the transcription factor EMX2, positioning the line of polarity reversal by controlling the apical localization of the GPR156 receptor. The kinase domain exhibits dual specificity, phosphorylating both serine/threonine and tyrosine residues on acidic substrate motifs, and auto-phosphorylates at multiple sites including S320 in the canonical AGC turn motif.

This affinity-purified rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied unconjugated in a 100 µl liquid vial for Western blot detection of endogenous STK32A in human, mouse, and rat samples. Lysates are typically resolved by SDS-PAGE and transferred to membrane for chemiluminescent readout, where the antibody recognizes the predominant ~46 kDa full-length isoform (UniProt Q8WU08, EC 2.7.11.1). The reagent is intended for research use only, supporting studies of kinase signaling, phosphorylation biology, comparative kinase expression between rodent and human models, and inner-ear development.
