Raised in rabbit against an epitope in the region of residue 62 of human stathmin 1 (STMN1), this unconjugated polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets a 17 kDa cytosolic phosphoprotein that sequesters free tubulin heterodimers and destabilizes microtubules during mitotic spindle assembly. Stathmin 1 activity is regulated by phosphorylation on multiple serine residues by kinases such as CDK1, PKA, and CaMKII, so the Ab-62 epitope provides a useful readout for total cellular stathmin levels in cell-cycle, neuronal, and tumor-progression studies without distinguishing individual phospho-states.

Each vial contains 100 µl of unconjugated rabbit IgG, validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human, mouse, and rat samples. For handling, short-term store at 4 °C; for extended shelf life, aliquot and freeze at -20 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, protecting the vial from light. This makes the reagent a practical tool for research use only in cancer biology, neurodevelopment, and cytoskeletal signaling investigations, where elevated stathmin 1 expression has been linked to proliferative and metastatic tumor phenotypes and to altered responses to microtubule-targeting drugs.
