Anti-STAT6 (Ab-641) Antibody

A polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com raised in rabbit targets Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 6 (STAT6) when phosphorylated at tyrosine residue 641. This phospho-site-specific reagent is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum, formulated for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human samples.

STAT6 transduces signals from IL-4 and IL-13 receptors, governing Th2 lymphocyte differentiation, IgE class switching, goblet cell hyperplasia, and M2 macrophage polarization. Phosphorylation at Tyr641 is required for STAT6 dimerization, nuclear translocation, and DNA binding, so the antibody serves as a read-out of pathway activation in research on asthma, allergic rhinitis, atopic dermatitis, IgE-driven food allergy, and STAT6-amplified Hodgkin and primary mediastinal large B-cell lymphomas.
