STAT5A functions as a critical transcription factor in hematopoietic and mammary cell lineages. Upon activation by upstream JAK kinases following receptor engagement, STAT5A undergoes phosphorylation on tyrosine 694, dimerizes, and translocates to the nucleus to regulate genes controlling immune cell differentiation, mammary gland development, and lymphoid cell survival. Researchers use this reagent to investigate these pathways in cell lysates and tissue sections.

The polyclonal nature of the antibody allows for broad epitope recognition on the STAT5A protein.
