Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified reagent is raised in Rabbit and supplied as a polyclonal antiserum specific for the Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 2 (STAT2) protein. The antibody targets an epitope corresponding to the peptide sequence around amino acids 688–692 (R-K-Y-L-K) of human STAT2, allowing it to detect the endogenous total STAT2 protein without requiring prior phosphorylation. Available here in a 50 µL vial at a concentration of 1.0 mg/mL, the product is unconjugated and is presented in a ready-to-use liquid format consisting of phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺) at pH 7.4, supplemented with 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol. For laboratory convenience, the vial is shipped at 4 °C; upon receipt, aliquots should be stored at –20 °C, with care taken to avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The antibody is validated for use in Western Blotting (WB) and Immunohistochemistry (IHC) on Human samples, supporting studies of the type I interferon signaling cascade and related JAK/STAT pathways. Each lot is generated by immunizing rabbits with the synthetic peptide–KLH conjugate and is subsequently purified by epitope-specific affinity chromatography to enrich for target-binding immunoglobulins. Lead times are typically 6–9 business days for dispatch from St. Louis, MO, and the reagent is intended strictly for research use only — not for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures — making it well suited for cell signaling, immunology, and cancer research laboratories that require a robust polyclonal STAT2 detection reagent.
