The Antibodies.com polyclonal reagent targets Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 1 (STAT1) only when serine 727 is phosphorylated, a modification that occurs within the C-terminal transactivation domain following type I and type II interferon signaling. Raised in rabbit, this unconjugated IgG preparation is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, and is packaged as a 100 µl vial.

Validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunocytochemistry workflows, the antibody detects the phosphorylated STAT1 species in samples from human, mouse, and rat origins, enabling cross-species studies of JAK-STAT pathway activation downstream of cytokine stimulation, viral infection models, and investigations of tumor cell signaling. The phospho-S727 epitope is distinct from the activating tyrosine 701 phosphorylation, allowing researchers to dissect the contribution of serine phosphorylation to maximal STAT1 transcriptional output separately from receptor-proximal activation events.

Store the vial refrigerated in the dark to preserve phospho-epitope binding activity; for longer term storage, aliquot and freeze, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles. This product is for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
