The STARD10 protein belongs to the steroidogenic acute regulatory protein-related lipid-transfer (START) domain family and participates in intracellular lipid trafficking, shuttling phosphatidylcholine and sphingomyelin between membrane compartments. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against STARD10 and validated for Western blot detection in human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting work in lipid metabolism research and investigations linking STARD10 expression to hepatocellular carcinoma and other tumor models.

Each vial contains 100 µl of antibody at 1 mg/ml, formulated in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 15 mM sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. For routine immunoblotting, store the antibody at -20 °C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light during handling. The polyclonal format allows recognition of multiple epitopes on the STARD10 target, which is useful when probing cell lysates or tissue homogenates where post-translational modifications or isoform diversity might otherwise reduce signal with a monoclonal reagent.

Typical research uses include characterizing STARD10 abundance across normal versus transformed tissues, mapping subcellular distribution in hepatocyte and breast epithelial models, and monitoring changes in lipid-handling proteins under metabolic or pharmacological challenge. Because the reagent is provided at a high stock concentration, it can be titrated across a range of protein loads without the need to pre-concentrate.
