Manufactured by Antibodies.com as a Mouse monoclonal reagent against Staphylococcal Enterotoxin B, this clone designated SEB is supplied in a 500 µg pack size and is intended for ELISA workflows. The antibody was raised against SEB purified from Staphylococcus aureus and is purified by Protein G affinity chromatography, then lyophilised from a 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline solution at pH 7.2. It is an unconjugated IgG1 isotype, generated in Mouse host cells (Sp2/0-Ag14 fusion partner), and its reactivity is specific to Staphylococcal enterotoxin B. Because the product is lyophilised, the final concentration is reconstitution dependent and users can adjust it to suit their assay. Shipping is performed at 4 °C, and on receipt the vial should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve binding activity. For research use only, this Primary Antibodies reagent is well suited to laboratories working on the detection, quantification, or characterisation of SEB in bacterial culture supernatants, food safety samples, or biodefence-related screening panels. Its monoclonal format provides batch-to-batch consistency for sensitive immunoassays, while the unconjugated format allows end users to couple it with their own detection labels, such as HRP or biotin, depending on the ELISA protocol being followed.
