STAM2 is a signal-transducing adaptor molecule that participates in endosomal sorting through the ESCRT machinery and in downstream signaling downstream of cytokine and growth factor receptors. This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised in rabbit and affinity-purified to recognize the phosphorylated tyrosine 192 epitope of STAM2, allowing researchers to monitor activation-dependent modification of the adaptor in cell lysates.

The unconjugated antibody is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate-buffered saline (pH ~7.2) containing 0.05% sodium azide as a preservative, and is validated for western blot detection of endogenous STAM2 in samples from human, mouse, and rat origin. The cross-reactivity across these three species supports comparative work in established cell lines, primary cultures, and tissue lysates.

Investigators studying receptor downregulation, ubiquitin-dependent sorting, ESCRT-mediated membrane remodeling, or JAK-STAT-driven transcriptional responses can use this phospho-specific reagent to follow Y192 phosphorylation as a read-out of upstream kinase activity. Each 100 µl vial provides enough material for multiple blot experiments at typical working dilutions. For best results, store refrigerated short term, aliquot to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light. Intended for research use only; not validated for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
