From Antibodies.com, this unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent supports Western Blot detection of the Golgi-resident sialyltransferase ST3GAL3 across human, mouse, and rat samples. ST3GAL3 catalyzes the transfer of sialic acid from CMP-sialic acid to terminal galactose residues on glycoproteins and glycolipids, a step that contributes to selectin ligand biosynthesis, neural cell-surface glycosylation, and altered sialylation patterns reported in several cancers. Researchers studying ST3GAL3-linked neurodevelopmental conditions, glycosylation changes in disease, or tumor-associated sialylation use anti-ST3GAL3 tools to verify protein expression and compare band intensity between tissues.

Each vial contains 50 µL of antibody at 1 mg/mL in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. The polyclonal format broadens epitope coverage across the ST3GAL3 protein, which is useful when probing conserved regions shared between isoforms. The unconjugated format leaves detection chemistry open, allowing the researcher to pair the primary reagent with HRP, fluorescent, or biotinylated secondary antibodies matched to rabbit IgG. Store refrigerated; long-term storage at -20°C preserves activity for repeated Western Blot use, while short-term working aliquots remain stable at 4°C.
