Anti-ST3GAL2 Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets ST3GAL2, a Golgi-resident type II transmembrane sialyltransferase that catalyzes the transfer of sialic acid from CMP-N-acetylneuraminic acid onto terminal galactose residues to produce alpha-2,3-linked sialylated glycoconjugates. ST3GAL2 contributes to the biosynthesis of glycosphingolipids and N- and O-linked glycoproteins, and is studied in the context of nervous-tissue glycosylation, B-cell receptor signaling, and altered cell-surface sialylation reported in several cancers.

The reagent is supplied as 200 µl of unconjugated IgG, raised in rabbit, and validated for Western blot detection of the human protein. It is suitable for protein-level confirmation of ST3GAL2 expression in human cell and tissue lysates, complementing transcript-based or enzymatic readouts of alpha-2,3-sialyltransferase activity.
