Anti-SSR1 Antibody

This unconjugated polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets SSR1 (Signal Sequence Receptor 1), the alpha subunit of the TRAP complex embedded in the rough endoplasmic reticulum membrane. The reagent is supplied as 50 µl of rabbit IgG and has been validated for western blot detection of endogenous SSR1 in both human and mouse samples. SSR1 contributes to the translocon machinery that channels nascent polypeptides across the ER bilayer during co-translational translocation and has been characterized as a host entry cofactor for hepatitis C virus and certain other enveloped pathogens. The reagent is suited to studies of ER protein import, glycoprotein biogenesis, virus-host interactions, and signal-sequence receptor signaling research, and is intended for research use only.
