Anti-SSR1 Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes SSR1, also known as Signal Sequence Receptor 1 or TRAP-alpha, an integral subunit of the four-component translocon-associated protein (TRAP) complex embedded in the endoplasmic reticulum membrane. Supplied by Antibodies.com in a 100 µl liquid format, the unconjugated IgG reagent is validated for Western Blot detection of SSR1 in human and mouse samples.

The TRAP complex supports co-translational translocation of nascent polypeptides into the ER lumen and contributes to glycoprotein processing, which positions this reagent for research on secretory pathway biogenesis, ER stress responses, and membrane protein insertion in mammalian cells. As a polyclonal reagent raised in rabbit, the antibody binds multiple epitopes across the SSR1 antigen, which can aid detection of the target under denaturing western blot conditions using chemiluminescent or colorimetric substrates.

The product is provided as a ready-to-dilute liquid aliquot that can be incorporated into standard western blot workflows with common buffer systems such as TBS-T and blocking in non-fat milk or BSA.
