SRPK1 (Serine/Arginine Protein Kinase 1) is a member of the SR protein-specific kinase family that phosphorylates serine/arginine (SR) repeat-containing splicing factors, regulating constitutive and alternative pre-mRNA splicing in eukaryotic cells. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com recognizes the human SRPK1 protein and is validated for Western Blot (WB) and Immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows in human samples.

The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to a region of human SRPK1, and the reagent is supplied in a 100 µL volume appropriate for multiple experimental applications. SRPK1 is largely cytoplasmic under basal conditions and translocates to the nucleus when splicing factor redistribution is required, making it a relevant target for studies in cell signaling, gene expression regulation, cancer biology (overexpression has been linked to several malignancies), and viral replication research, since certain viruses exploit SRPK1 activity for processing of their own transcripts.

The polyclonal format offers broader epitope coverage than a monoclonal reagent, useful when probing full-length SRPK1 or detecting multiple isoforms in a lysate. Researchers working on RNA processing, phosphorylation cascades, or nuclear-cytoplasmic transport will find this reagent directly applicable. Store refrigerated and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles by aliquoting upon first use; the unconjugated format allows the researcher to choose their own secondary detection chemistry.
