Raised in rabbit against the SRGN (Serglycin) proteoglycan, this unconjugated polyclonal reagent targets the 17.8 kDa core protein best known for packaging granule contents inside mast cells, cytotoxic lymphocytes, neutrophils, and platelets. Antibodies.com supplies the antibody as a 100 µl liquid aliquot suited to western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human samples, where serglycin expression is read out as a lineage marker of granule-bearing hematopoietic cells and as a reporter of tumor-microenvironment remodeling in carcinomas and multiple myeloma.

For western blot, the reagent is applied to lysates of cultured hematopoietic or carcinoma cell lines, yielding a high-molecular-weight band pattern consistent with the heavily glycosylated native serglycin species. In IHC, it is used on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections to localize serglycin to the cytoplasm of granule-containing cells and to stromal compartments in tumor biopsies. Because it is supplied unconjugated, the antibody can be paired with any secondary matched to the user's preferred detection chemistry or directly conjugated in-house.

Each lot is affinity-purified and validated on human tissue and cell-line material. Reactivity is characterized for human serglycin; signal in mouse, rat, or other non-human species should not be assumed without independent validation. Handle as a standard polyclonal antiserum: aliquot to limit freeze-thaw cycles, store refrigerated for short-term use, and keep frozen at -20 °C for longer-term stability. Intended for research use only and not for diagnostic or therapeutic application.
