Serglycin (SRGN) is the principal intracellular proteoglycan of hematopoietic secretory granules, where it packages granzyme B, histamine, and other effector molecules in mast cells, neutrophils, and cytotoxic lymphocytes. The polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit, supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence detection on human and mouse specimens.

The target is a small core protein of roughly 17.6 kDa decorated with variable heparin or chondroitin sulfate glycosaminoglycan chains, so apparent molecular weight on immunoblots depends on the glycosylation state of the source tissue. SRGN expression has been characterized in studies of multiple myeloma, breast carcinoma, and nasopharyngeal carcinoma, where elevated proteoglycan levels correlate with aggressive tumor phenotypes and stromal remodeling, making this reagent relevant for tumor microenvironment and inflammation research.

The 100 µl format is provided as a working stock intended for storage at -20 °C with protection from light and minimal freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody integrity over multiple experiments.
