The SRF transcription factor binds the serum response element (SRE) and drives expression of immediate-early genes and muscle-lineage transcripts, making its detection central to studies of cardiac, skeletal, and smooth muscle differentiation as well as growth-factor signalling in neurons. This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised against an N-terminal epitope (N153) of human SRF and is qualified for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human and mouse specimens. The unconjugated IgG is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, allowing straightforward conjugation to custom reporter enzymes or fluorophores. The 100 µl vial format offers several working aliquots for repeated membrane-based detection of endogenous SRF in cell lysates, with refrigerated short-term storage supporting stability between experiments. Researchers studying cardiomyocyte maturation, vascular smooth muscle phenotype switching, or activity-dependent neuronal gene programmes can apply this reagent to assess SRF levels across cultured cells and fixed tissue sections.
