Serum Response Factor (SRF) is a MADS-box transcription factor that binds the serum response element (SRE) in promoter and enhancer regions, driving expression of immediate-early genes and muscle-lineage transcripts involved in cytoskeletal organization, cell growth, and cardiac, smooth muscle, and neuronal differentiation. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against SRF and validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA readouts on human and mouse samples.

Supplied as a 100 µl liquid aliquot of polyclonal antiserum, the reagent enables detection of endogenous SRF protein in cell and tissue lysates. Because the antibody is unconjugated, it can be paired with a user-selected secondary reporter for chromogenic, fluorescent, or chemiluminescent visualization, giving laboratories flexibility across blot, section, and plate-based workflows.

Common use cases include profiling SRF expression during myogenic differentiation of C2C12 cultures, mapping SRF localization in cardiac and vascular tissue sections, and studying immediate-early gene activation downstream of MAPK and RhoA signaling. The reagent is packaged in a single-use vial intended for research use only, and cross-reactivity with rat SRF has not been formally established, so rodent work is restricted to mouse material as listed in the reactivity panel.
