Anti-SREBF2 Antibody

This polyclonal rabbit IgG primary antibody from Antibodies.com targets the internal region of human SREBF2, a membrane-bound transcription factor that drives cholesterol biosynthesis. Under low sterol conditions SREBF2 translocates from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi, where proteolytic cleavage releases its active domain to enter the nucleus and activate lipogenic genes such as HMG-CoA reductase and the LDL receptor, supporting research into lipid metabolism, atherosclerosis, and metabolic disease.

Validated for immunohistochemistry, the reagent detects total endogenous SREBF2 protein across human, mouse, and rat tissue, and is supplied unconjugated so laboratories can pair it with HRP-, biotin-, or fluorophore-labelled secondary reagents of their choice, or apply tyramide signal amplification when additional sensitivity is required on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections.
