Anti-Srb4p Antibody

Produced by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent targets Srb4p, an essential subunit of the Saccharomyces cerevisiae Mediator complex that couples transcriptional regulators to RNA polymerase II. Srb4p forms part of the Mediator head module and is required for activated transcription in yeast, making it a useful marker for studying the composition and chromatin occupancy of the Mediator complex. The antibody is validated for Western blot detection of endogenous Srb4p in yeast lysates, for chromatin immunoprecipitation experiments that map Mediator association across promoter regions, and for immunoprecipitation of Mediator subcomplexes from nuclear extracts. Typical uses include ChIP-seq profiling of yeast promoter occupancy under diverse growth conditions and co-IP analysis of Mediator subunit interactions. The IgG fraction is supplied as a 100 µl liquid aliquot in a vial; store at -20 °C in single-use aliquots to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles of the working stock.
