Anti-SR-2C (P190) Antibody

Sourced through Antibodies.com and distributed by AFMS, this affinity-purified polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit against the serotonin receptor 2C (HTR2C) and recognises the SR-2C (P190) epitope. It is provided as a 50 µl liquid stock at 1 mg/ml in Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide, with the formulation adjusted to approximately pH 7.2 for working stability. The antibody is unconjugated and of the IgG isotype, allowing it to be paired with the secondary detection system of the researcher's choice. SR-2C pAb detects endogenous levels of SR-2C protein in samples from Human, Mouse and Rat, and it has been validated for Western blot (WB) and Immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows, making it suitable for studies of serotonin signalling, G-protein coupled receptor biology and CNS-related targets. For best results, the vial should be stored short term at 4 °C; for longer term storage, aliquot and keep at –20 °C, taking care to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles that can compromise antibody integrity.
