Anti-SR-2A Antibody

From Antibodies.com, this is a rabbit polyclonal antibody targeting SR-2A. It is validated for Western blot (WB) applications and is supplied unconjugated. The antibody is reactive with Human, Mouse and Rat samples and is presented at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% Sodium Azide and 50% Glycerol.

The reagent was raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues in human SR-2A and affinity-purified by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen, with purity greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE. One scientific validation image is available. The antibody specifically detects endogenous levels of SR-2A protein, with an observed molecular weight of approximately 55 kDa. SR-2A is a G protein-coupled serotonin receptor that activates phospholipase C and releases intracellular calcium stores in response to serotonin. It has specific roles in tracheal smooth muscle contraction, bronchoconstriction, and aldosterone production, and has been implicated in psychiatric disorders including depression and schizophrenia.
