This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against SR-1F, also known as SRp38 or SRSF10, a member of the conserved serine/arginine-rich family of pre-mRNA splicing regulators. The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum in a vial and is validated for Western blot, immunofluorescence, and ELISA workflows on human, mouse, rat, and monkey samples.

SR-1F is the stress-responsive splicing factor that is rapidly dephosphorylated during heat shock, oxidative stress, and DNA damage, where it enforces global intron retention and represses spliceosome activity on nascent transcripts. Laboratories working on mRNA processing, stress-signaling pathways, and developmental neurobiology use SR-1F antibodies to track phosphorylation shifts, monitor spliceosomal reorganization, and map tissue-specific alternative splicing outcomes. Peer-reviewed work has also linked SRp38 to germ-cell development, neuronal differentiation, and dysregulated splicing in several tumor types, broadening the reagent's relevance to oncology and stem-cell research.

In Western blots, the antiserum detects the endogenous ~38 kDa SR-1F protein, and the unconjugated formulation allows flexible pairing with custom secondary conjugates or signal-amplification chemistries. The polyclonal backbone broadens epitope coverage, which is helpful when probing alternative splice isoforms or post-translationally modified forms. Aliquot upon receipt, refrigerate to preserve antibody activity, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
