The Antibodies.com polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit against human SPP1 (Secreted Phosphoprotein 1, also called osteopontin), a secreted glycophosphoprotein linked to bone remodeling, wound healing, immune cell recruitment, and tumor progression. Researchers investigating cancer metastasis, renal fibrosis, or osteoblast differentiation use this unconjugated primary antibody for western blot detection of the target in cell lysates and for immunohistochemistry localization of osteopontin in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
Supplied as a 100 µl tube of unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antiserum, this reagent binds human SPP1 and is validated for WB and IHC workflows. For short-term storage, refrigerate the vial; for longer projects, aliquot and freeze to limit freeze-thaw cycles and protect from light. Working dilutions should be titrated empirically against a positive-control lysate or tissue known to express osteopontin, with a species-matched secondary antibody applied for chromogenic or chemiluminescent readout.
