From Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody targets SPINT1 (also called HAI-1, Hepatocyte growth factor activator inhibitor type 1), a membrane-anchored Kunitz-domain inhibitor that restrains the pericellular activity of matriptase and hepatocyte growth factor activator. Raised against a recombinant human SPINT1 immunogen and affinity-purified, the reagent is supplied as an unconjugated liquid at 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol. The antibody is validated for Western blot and immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence, with a manufacturer-reported reactivity profile covering human, mouse, and rat samples, and a published immunofluorescence image obtained on HeLa cells.

Researchers use it to localize endogenous SPINT1 at the basolateral membrane of polarized epithelia and to detect both the full-length glycoprotein and its shed extracellular fragment in whole-cell lysates from lines such as HaCaT or Caco-2. For Western blot, a working dilution of 1:500 to 1:2,000 is typical with overnight incubation at 4 °C; for ICC/IF the antibody is applied at 1:50 to 1:200 on paraformaldehyde-fixed, Triton-permeabilized cells. The unconjugated format pairs with any anti-rabbit IgG secondary, leaving fluorophore or enzyme choice open. On arrival, the vial should be aliquoted and stored at -20 °C; avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles to preserve titre across experiments. For research use only.
